Welcome to the Shawnigan Dental Health Centre where you can relax in our reception area that are in hues of lavender and silver before your appointment.
We understand that any dental appointment brings with it feelings of anxiety and want you to experience what dentistry should be: a relaxing, non stressful and enjoyable experience that leaves you with a sense of total wellbeing.
We offer a wonderful selection of magazines during your short wait and a special corner of the clinic has been built for those with children. Please allow your children to play whenever they wish. Feel free to bring along a selection of your favourite CD’s for which we offer a player or bring along your latest electronic music player.
Once your appointment in underway, relax in our comfortable chairs with “angel wings” pillows. We’ll provide you with dark glasses or bring along your own sunglasses to feel more relaxed. For adults with a need to relax even further we can provide “oral sedation”, please call ahead for this comfort. Parents are always welcome to attend their children’s appointment in the room so that separation anxiety is reduced. Tweens and teens are encouraged to bring along a friend or sibling to make their appointment less stressful. This allows the next generation to understand that there really isn’t anything that should be “scary” about dental treatment.
Once your appointment is finished allow us to offer you an orange water freshener to refresh and stimulate you to go on with the rest of your day. We pride ourselves on offering these services with a friendly and pleasant atmosphere. We hope that you will chose to visit our clinic that offers many and varied services.
